My evening, crocheting snuggled with the doggy watching Supernatural.
Starbucks and crocheting. Yay. Finished off the first part of this project. My wrists hurt so I’m going to take a break before step two.
This pattern gave me fits. I for some reason just couldn’t read the pattern. But apparently reading it a tenth time made it click. And tada this is speeding along.
Finished the shark slippers. A friend asked me to make these for her neice. They are too small for my munchkin but they fit just enough for a picture. The pattern was well written but the sizes seem to run a little large. They were fun to make and worked up really fast. I think I’m going to start another pair for my daughter. Maybe in pink? Here is a link to the pattern. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/babys-shark-slippers
Sometimes when I’m stitching an amigurumi or similar together, I curse the fact that my stitches are so secure. I struggle to remove them if i screw up. I was watching Gravity and put a piece on backwards, took me a good 10 minutes to pull back my stitches. Oops!
Working on shark slippers.
Cupig is complete! This was a fun little pattern. About half way through my daughter took it and would cry if I took it to add the legs wings and scarf. So apparently this piggy will be well loved! The only thing I really didn’t like about this pattern was the legs, I don’t know why I couldn’t wrap my head around it. So I substituted my own stubby legs. Everything else was easy and I really like the way the ears are worked. I will say though it turns out I really hate closing rounds rather than my usual continuous rounds. The free pattern was found here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cu-pig
Working on a little pig amigurumi. Not sure why really, I just really liked the pattern.
An apple with a wormy. I thought it was kinda cute.
I went to Joanne’s and picked up two more of these one pound skeins from Caron. I now need to finish up ten more rows and then decide what blanket to make for my munchkin.
