Look at just how different Romney locks can be from different sheep. But look at the length of the fiber! I love it! These are unwashed Romney locks, I have been working on washing them up. 

Working on an art batt, at my friend’s house. I love playing with a drum carder. So much fun blended so many fibers. This was silk, corriedale, firestar, mohair, camel, cotton, romney, merino, angora. Pretty much I just threw fiber on there. Its a bit of a messy blend but I love it. 

I love playing with a drum carder. I think it may be my favorite part of fiber prep. I love blending and “painting” with fiber. Its just so much fun. My little one was in a snuggle mood, so while playing with fiber I was wearing her in a moby wrap. I dont let much come between me and fiber arts!

A second art batt I recently whipped up. This one has, mohair locks, merino, alpaca, romney and, camel! Very very soft indeed. Cant wait to see how it spins up. It reminds me of camo, or just the forest in the middle of summer. 

This is an art batt I made on a friend’s drum carder. It is Romney, Baby Alpaca, and Merino. Cant wait to spin it up. Its soft like butter and Im sure it will spin out beautifully. I love the blend of colors, a peachy pink, hot pink, bright blue, and white. 

I got my gorgeous cotton in the mail. Its a red/green/white cotton. Though really its a sienna and dusky brown with white. Its so soft, Im excited to see what it becomes.
