processing a merino fleece. Bought it raw, and unwashed. And boy was it disgusting! Took 8 rinses… and still is a little gummy. Oh well. Once its carded it is very soft, and Im excited to spin it.

I spent the day with a friend of mine, skirting and washing raw fleeces. Lots of soap and hot water was involved… Now its out drying and I get to spin some once its all dry! Then I came home to the raw fleece I ordered off Etsy, its a little yuck… Oh well. Its in a very hot bath currently soaking. It will be beautiful once its clean. Its just getting it clean will be the challenge! My husband said the package smelled like a barn. Hes not much of a farm boy to say the least :P Love him any way. I will post pictures soon of all the pretty stuff I have to spin, I just havent been home or with a camera in daylight to take good pictures.

As well as ordering the cotton last night, I ordered a raw merino fleece. I had attempted to not buy anything to spin! Major fail! Expect pictures of the new spinning goodness :)
