Spinning About

Working on an art batt, at my friend’s house. I love playing with a drum carder. So much fun blended so many fibers. This was silk, corriedale, firestar, mohair, camel, cotton, romney, merino, angora. Pretty much I just threw fiber on there. Its a bit of a messy blend but I love it. 

I plyed the sparkle berry single I spun up with a sky blue corriedale silk blend. Im going to be using this yarn to crochet squares for a granny square blanket Im making for my daughter. I love the colors. 

Spinning from the art batts I made up the other day. This one I named Sparkle Berry, I love the glittery firestar in it. I love starting the spinning process from start to finish. I washed the fiber, dyed it, and then put it through a drum carder. The whole process is relaxing. 

These photos dont do this single justice! This is spun from the art batt I made the other day. It has fire star, merino, alpaca, and romney. Super soft and squishy! Love how its turning out. Im going to ply this with a sky blue corriedale silk blend. 

Both of the batts I made up. Very blended and soft. Excited to have something fun to spin. 

A second art batt I recently whipped up. This one has, mohair locks, merino, alpaca, romney and, camel! Very very soft indeed. Cant wait to see how it spins up. It reminds me of camo, or just the forest in the middle of summer. 

Romney locks, this has a gorgeous luster! Amazing, look at how long those locks are. I love it, cant wait to wash and spin it.
