At Maryland Sheep & Wool festival. First stop, Merino sheep! My very favorite. I love that natural cool, but when I see white, I think of a rainbow of wool.

Did some dying with a friend today. It has been awhile since I really got a chance to play with dyes and wool. I’ve still been spinning and doing other fiber arts. I’ve just been so busy with my lovely daughter I haven’t hd time to blog it! But I have lots of photos to be posted in the next few days!

Look at just how different Romney locks can be from different sheep. But look at the length of the fiber! I love it! These are unwashed Romney locks, I have been working on washing them up.

Look what I have to play with, Romney locks! I just washed this one. I love this sheep’s wool, its stained at the tips but I think that makes it even prettier. It spins to a golden/white luster. Love it!
